On April 11 (Saturday), Akagi Nyugyo will hold a free sampling event for its "Sof'" (ソフ) brand at COREDO Muromachi Terrace in Nihonbashi, Tokyo. A total of 5,000 cups of ice cream are set to be distributed from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
In keeping with the theme of this year's TV commercial — which features a feudal lord character known as "Uesama" — the outdoor plaza will be transformed into a castle town-inspired space set in the middle of an office district. The "Uesama" character from the commercial will also appear at the event.
Two products newly launched in spring 2026 will be distributed:

A free topping corner will also be set up, offering six varieties to customize each cup: Uesama cookie, cocoa cookie, color sprinkles, blueberry sauce, strawberry sauce, and caramel sauce. Toppings are available while supplies last.
The venue will also feature a giant five-story pagoda, a photo spot themed around the TV commercial's world, and a face-cutout panel for visitors to pose as Uesama.
