A solo exhibition by rust artist YASUKA.M, "Shirube—Wayfinder—", will be held at Karuizawa Bookstore Naka-Karuizawa (Karuizawa Town, Kitasaku District, Nagano Prefecture) from Wednesday, November 18, 2026 to Monday, January 11, 2027 (a national holiday).
About the Exhibition
YASUKA.M creates works using only the shades of rust, oxidizing iron with a technique of the artist's own.
The exhibition shows and sells a number of original paintings inspired by Japan's nature and aesthetics, including the newly painted work 『翡翠（ひすい）』. Limited-edition giclée prints of Mt. Asama as seen from Karuizawa, titled 『貴方の願いを聴いている』, are available by order in an edition of 20. Small works titled 『鉄錆の栞』 and a range of goods are also on sale.
The exhibition introduces the world of YASUKA.M's work, which brings out the individuality and beauty of iron and draws out new appeal hidden in the material.

During the exhibition period, YASUKA.M's large work 『夢幻‐Mugen』 is also on special display at SHARE LOUNGE Karuizawa T-SITE, which is directly connected to Karuizawa Station. A giclée print of the same work, limited to 20 copies, can be ordered at the same venue.

- Sales on the first day, November 18 (Wed), start at 11:00 AM. A lottery to determine purchase order is held at 11:00 AM, and customers are guided in numerical order.
- Online sales start at 12:00 PM (noon) on November 25 (Wed).
- Works are scheduled to be handed over in early February 2027, after the exhibition ends. Customers can choose in-store pickup or delivery.
- Because 『鉄錆の栞』 is a popular work, purchases are limited to one per person across the store and online combined.
- New works may be added during the exhibition.
About the Artist
YASUKA.M
Born in Tokyo, YASUKA.M has followed the path of art since childhood. After studying sculpture at university, the artist began painting with iron rust, impressed by Japanese culture and the natural world. YASUKA.M works to preserve this self-taught technique as an art form originating in Japan.
