Yokkaichi City Hotel Annex (Hamada-cho, Yokkaichi City, Mie Prefecture), operated by Greens Co., Ltd., completed a renewal of its guest rooms and lobby space on Sunday, June 21, 2026.
The renovation introduces an interior design motif inspired by the salvia flower — the city flower of Yokkaichi — along with a new exhibition space in the lobby showcasing the work of local businesses and creators. Starting July 16 (Thursday), two new dishes will be added to the hotel's popular ceramic-plate (토판; 陶板) breakfast menu.

Hotels are increasingly expected to serve not only as accommodation but also as spaces for work, interaction, and connection with the local area. This renovation focused on improving guest room comfort while also enhancing how the lobby is used, aiming to add value to the time guests spend at the hotel.
A Space That Reflects Yokkaichi, Brought to Life by Salvia
Guest rooms and elevator halls now feature a design motif inspired by the salvia flower, the city flower of Yokkaichi. The color palette and interior design have been refreshed to create a calm atmosphere that carries a local character.
A Refreshed Lobby for Work and Connection
The lobby layout has been redesigned, with new counter seats and table seats now available as a workspace. The environment is set up to make it easy to work on a laptop or hold a meeting, providing comfortable options beyond the guest rooms. Lounge seating has also been expanded for groups looking to relax. A new exhibition space in the lobby introduces products and works by local businesses and creators, giving guests staying at the hotel an opportunity to connect with Yokkaichi and Mie culture and craftsmanship. The hotel aims to serve not only leisure guests but also business travelers, helping them discover new aspects of Yokkaichi.

The ceramic-plate (陶板) dishes served hot to order are a popular feature of Yokkaichi City Hotel Annex's breakfast. Starting July 16 (Thursday), 2026, two new items will join the lineup.
New Menu Items
Salt-Koji Grilled Chicken
Chicken marinated in salt koji, served with sweet cabbage. The umami of the koji seeps into the meat, creating a gentle and satisfying dish that lets the natural flavors of the ingredients shine.
Pork with Grated Yam
Pork paired with grated yam (tororo) and accented with the bright tartness of plum sauce. The smooth texture of the yam and the flavor of plum come together in a dish that is easy to enjoy even in the morning.
Both dishes are served piping hot, so guests can enjoy them fresh off the plate.
Smoke-Free Throughout the Property
As part of the renovation, the entire hotel is now smoke-free. A smoking booth has been installed on the first floor for guests who smoke.
