Reservations are now open for "Irodori Osechi" (彩おせち), osechi (traditional Japanese New Year dishes) boxes for the 2027 New Year from Greens Co., Ltd. (株式会社グリーンズ), a hotel operator headquartered in Yokkaichi, Mie Prefecture. The boxes are filled with mountain and sea delicacies from Mie, such as Matsusaka beef, Ise spiny lobster, Uramura oysters, sea bream from Mie, and Anori mackerel.
There are two types this year. The three-tier "Musubi" (結) is meant for gatherings of family and relatives, while the single-tier "Mizuki" (瑞) suits couples and other small groups. Musubi is made up of the "美味し国みえの重" tier of Mie ingredients, the "Wa no Ju" (和の重) tier of traditional osechi dishes, and the "Yo no Ju" (洋の重) tier of hotel-style Western dishes. Its theme is a "feast of Japanese, Western, and Mie flavors" (和・洋・三重の饗宴).
For customers from outside Mie, the osechi is a chance to meet the region's food culture. For customers in Mie, it is a chance to taste familiar local ingredients again, prepared and combined in the way of a hotel chef.
Rediscovering the Flavors of Mie at the New Year Table
Greens has worked alongside the local community for many years through its hotel business. The osechi was developed with the idea that Mie's food culture should be enjoyed not only during stays and trips, but also at the everyday and milestone meals of people who live in the area.
Along with nationally known ingredients such as Matsusaka beef and Ise spiny lobster, the boxes include flavors from around the prefecture, including Uramura oysters, Anori mackerel, and sea bream from Mie. The aim is to give customers from outside Mie a reason to get to know the region, and to give customers in Mie a chance to rediscover the taste of home.
Two Osechi Types Themed on a Feast of Japanese, Western, and Mie Flavors
"Irodori Osechi" was developed around the concept of a "feast of Japanese, Western, and Mie flavors." While respecting traditional osechi dishes, it pairs the hotel's Western-style cooking with regional ingredients, so that people of all ages, from children to older adults, can enjoy it.
To meet the needs of the growing number of small households, the lineup includes a three-tier box for New Year gatherings with family and a single-tier box for couples and small groups.

Grissier Baked Sweets Come With Every Box
Every osechi box comes with an assortment of baked sweets from "Grissier" (グリシエ), Greens' original sweets brand, so the meal can continue with Mie flavors after the osechi.

Grissier was founded in 2024, and its name combines "Greens" and "Patissier." The brand creates sweets that use Mie ingredients and regional culture. This assortment includes popular financiers and a pound cake made with Mie-grown Meyer lemons, adding to the time families spend together at the New Year.
