Hello! I'm Fumie from the Holiday Travel editorial team! ✨
Today, I'd like to introduce you to a personal favorite night view spot in Tokyo that's not very famous but absolutely stunning.
Sumida River Bridge: A Hidden Gem
The location is the "Sumida River Bridge." It's about a 10-minute walk from the Holiday Travel office.
The bridge itself is under a highway, so it might not seem like a great spot at first, but the view is absolutely breathtaking!
South View: Tsukudajima's Skyline

When you face south, you'll see the Tsukudajima tower apartment complex and beautifully lit blue bridge 🌉. It's like a painting!
North View: Tokyo Skytree

When you look north, there's Tokyo's symbol – the Skytree 🗼! The lighting changes depending on the day, so it's always fun to guess what color it will be ❤️
Around 7 PM, you can watch yakatabune (traditional houseboats) gliding along the Sumida River below 👀. The contrast between the traditional houseboats and modern high-rise buildings is quintessentially Tokyo – I absolutely love it.
Sunset View: Equally Spectacular

The sunset view is truly wonderful too, with the orange sky and river creating a beautiful gradient. The riverside has a promenade that's perfect for a leisurely stroll 🚶🚶♀️
After Your Walk: Ningyocho Dining
After enjoying the view from Sumida River Bridge, I recommend heading to the Ningyocho area for dinner. There are many long-established restaurants where you can enjoy excellent food 🥢🍻
If you're in the area, definitely stop by!
