Allium giganteum is currently at its peak in the flower garden at Uminonakamichi Seaside National Park. First introduced in 2024, this is now the third year the flowers have been featured at the park, with blooms expected to continue through early June.
The purple spherical flowers, approximately 10 cm in diameter, reveal tiny star-shaped florets upon close inspection. Lining the edge of a pond, they create a striking scene whether admired up close or from a distance, shimmering like twinkling stars.
