A family-friendly nature event, "Fukuoka Wildlife Survey Team: Uminonakamichi Seaside National Park Edition," is scheduled for Sunday, May 10 at the Forest of Environmental Coexistence (Kankyokyosei no Mori) inside Uminonakamichi Seaside National Park in Fukuoka. Organized in partnership with the Fukuoka City Environment Bureau, the event invites participants to photograph and record local wildlife using the Biome nature observation app.
Thirty elementary school students and their parents or guardians, recruited in advance, will photograph plants, insects, and other creatures found in the forest. With guidance from the app and expert explanations, families can learn about local wildlife in a hands-on and enjoyable way.

About the Forest of Environmental Coexistence (Mirai no Mori)
The Forest of Environmental Coexistence, affectionately nicknamed "Mirai no Mori" (Forest of the Future), was developed under the concept of "building a forest from scratch" through a long-term collaborative effort between the local community and the park. As the forest has grown over the years, so has its biodiversity — 238 species of living creatures have been confirmed in the area, and in September 2025, the site was officially certified as a "Nature Coexistence Site."
