On March 15 (Sunday), the National Alps Azumino Park [Omachi-Matsukawa Area] will host a "Park Supporter Trial Event" for those interested in volunteer activities. Through hands-on programs, participants will deepen their understanding of supporter activities and roles, encouraging participation. Additionally, they can actually experience specific initiatives, rewards, and interactions in nature, food, and craft activities.

Actually Experience to Ease Concerns
After the management center staff explains about park supporters, participants will move to the Forest Experience House with a guide. They'll experience pizza-making and have lunch, then try crafts using natural materials. Finally, there will be a discussion session at the rental building to help participants feel the activities' content and rewards, easing concerns about participation and promoting involvement.

Supporters Who Support the Park

The park operates in collaboration with "Park Supporters" consisting of four groups: nature, food, crafts, and charcoal. The supporters leverage their accumulated experience and skills to contribute to the community and create purpose in life through supporting visitors' experiences and interactions with people from inside and outside the prefecture.
Expanding Circles of Interaction and Learning
The park supporters currently have 39 registered members ranging in age from 31 to 84, with nearly equal numbers of men and women. Members with diverse professional backgrounds gather and work while respecting each other. In addition to locals, many migrants participate, functioning as a place of regional interaction and learning. Participation has steadily expanded beyond the North Alps region centered on Omachi City and Matsukawa Village to include the Matsumoto area and northern Nagano.
