amana inc. to Exhibit Photographs at "FILMS – Art and Film? The Indefinable Future of Moving Images," Held Alongside Art Fair Tokyo 20

A photography exhibition is set to take place at Tokyo Midtown Hibiya during Art Fair Tokyo 20. amana inc. will participate in the "PHOTOS" section of the accompanying program "FILMS – Art and Film? The Indefinable Future of Moving Images," which runs alongside the fair. Three galleries — AKIO NAGASAWA GALLERY, PGI, and amana — will present and sell works by photographers active both in Japan and internationally.

Photography Exhibition

During the program period, photographic works will be displayed on the 9th floor of Tokyo Midtown Hibiya. The participating galleries and featured artists are as follows:

Gallery Featured Artists
AKIO NAGASAWA GALLERY Daido Moriyama, Tatsuo Miyajima
PGI Michiko Kon
amana Hiroshi Sugimoto, Koo Bohnchang, Rinko Kawauchi, Terri Weifenbach

The exhibition aims to shed light on the diversity and intensity of photographic expression — a medium that, like film, tends to be underrepresented in art market discourse. It celebrates the perspectives, ideas, and techniques of artists working in this field, and opens a new lens through which audiences can engage with both photography and moving image.
