Watching the Ashiya fireworks from the water offers an open, unobstructed view found only at sea. Kobe Port's night skyline and chef-prepared dishes add extra color to the summer evening.

Luminous Kobe 2: A Summer-Only Onboard Experience with a Fireworks-Viewing Deck
Luminous Kobe 2 offers plans that include a dedicated fireworks-viewing deck for comfortable viewing.
Guests can dine in the spacious interior of one of Japan's largest restaurant cruise ships, then take in the fireworks lighting up the Ashiya night sky from the viewing deck at a relaxed pace — a summer-only onboard experience paired with fine dining. Seating aboard Luminous Kobe 2 may be shared with other groups, except under the VIP room plan.
Fireworks-Deck Plan: Fireworks Set Meal & Half Buffet + All-You-Can-Drink
The Fireworks Set Meal includes a mini wagyu loin steak, Kobe pork shogayaki (ginger-fried pork), and salted red salmon, alongside a half-buffet spread of chilled dishes, Kobe beef curry, and pasta.
The plan includes all-you-can-drink beverages, including alcohol, and a dessert buffet back inside the ship after the fireworks.
It's a plan well suited to families, couples, and friends looking to fully enjoy both the meal and the fireworks on a summer outing.
Fireworks-Deck Plan: Top-Floor VIP Room + Special French Course + Wine Pairing
The top-floor VIP room, The Normandie, offers a special French course created just for this day.
The course features carefully selected ingredients such as Seto Inland Sea conger eel, red sea bream, Norwegian salmon, and Kobe beef sirloin, paired with wines selected by a sommelier.
Guests can also watch the fireworks light up the Ashiya night sky at a relaxed pace from a private fireworks-viewing deck reserved for the VIP room — a premium plan unique to Luminous Kobe 2 that pairs fine dining with fireworks.
Concerto: An Elegant Fireworks Cruise with Live Music and a Full Course Meal
Departing from in front of Kobe Harborland umie Mosaic, Concerto offers an elegant cruise featuring a full course meal at the onboard restaurant accompanied by live music.
Guests can choose between a French Course and a Teppanyaki Course, for an elevated onboard fireworks experience paired with fine dining. Beverages are charged separately on Concerto.
French Course
Rooted in French culinary tradition, this course highlights seasonal ingredients. Guests can enjoy a special dinner alongside the fireworks in the elegant setting of the onboard restaurant.
Teppanyaki Course
In the Teppanyaki Course, chefs grill carefully selected ingredients, including Kobe beef, right in front of guests. Counter seating puts diners close to the action, letting them enjoy dishes straight off the grill.

Starting Sunday, August 2 — the day after the Ashiya Fireworks Cruise — reservations open for the Minato HANABI Cruise, a popular event that brightens Kobe Port's autumn.
Held for five days only, from Monday, October 19 to Friday, October 23, 2026, the Minato HANABI Cruise is an autumn-only event where guests can take in the scenery created by Kobe Port's night views and fireworks from the water.
