On Saturday, August 1, 2026, boh boh KOBE — the sightseeing vessel that sails Kobe Port — will host the 48th Ashiya Summer Carnival Fireworks Viewing Cruise "Awa no Kai" (Bubble Party) — Franciacorta Trilogy Episode II. Guests can enjoy free-flow Ca' del Bosco Franciacorta, curated dishes from celebrated local chefs, and a front-row view of the fireworks display from the deck.

Ca' del Bosco Franciacorta Free-Flow
At the heart of the event is Ca' del Bosco, a Franciacorta producer sometimes called "the sparkling wine of the future." Franciacorta is an Italian sparkling wine that has attracted growing attention both in Italy and Japan, celebrated for its rich, elegant mouthfeel — qualities that have earned it the nickname "the lady's bubble." While the history of wine in Italy spans 3,000 years, Franciacorta's story is barely half a century old. Ca' del Bosco made a striking debut in 2008, combining unconventional innovation with refined aesthetics, and is credited with igniting the Franciacorta movement as it exists today.

As a specialty for Episode II, the Vintage Collection Dosage Zero Noir will be featured — an adult luxury sparkling wine known for the depth of ripe fruit and the toasted notes that develop through extended aging.

Guest Chefs and Curated Cuisine
The food program brings together an ensemble of guest chefs. From "Hanarenoutage" — a hideaway bistro in Kobe's Suidobashisuji shopping street known for its dedication to meat dishes — come chefs Kosuke Yamamoto and Masatoshi Yamamoto. Joining them are Chef Matsumoto of "Pizzeria RICCA," Chef Koyanagi of "Pas a pas," and Chef Kusuda of "Kowaku," presenting dishes that include prime Kuroge Wagyu steak alongside pairings designed to complement Franciacorta.

Sweets are fully supervised by Chef Chiharu Saiki, who trained as a pâtissière at a restaurant helmed by Chef Kiyomi Mikuni before serving as an assistant to culinary researcher Makiko Fujino and as a cooking school instructor and café cook. Currently running her own cooking classes and contributing to food styling for magazines, Chef Saiki brings delicate flavors that draw out the best of each ingredient, presented in visually elegant form.

Fireworks from the Sea
The voyage tracks alongside the launch of the Ashiya Summer Carnival fireworks, allowing guests to watch the display directly from the ship. boh boh KOBE also offers views of the Kobe cityscape, the Rokko mountain range, and dramatic aircraft takeoffs and landings from the sky deck positioned closest to the runway in Japan.
