What to Expect

Visitors can experience a cute, slightly surreal world in full. The event brings together the characters of the hugely popular picture book series Bread Thief, and it comes to Sapporo after a run in Yokohama in spring 2026 that drew more than 70,000 visitors in total.

The Sapporo venue debuts photo spots related to パンどろぼうとさすらいラーメン, the newest book in the Bread Thief series, which was released on September 16, 2026. Limited-edition goods featuring original illustrations drawn for the event will be on sale, and the crane game that was popular in Yokohama will also appear. The venue is a space of excitement and comfort where visitors can take photos, shop and enjoy their own "oshi-katsu" (fan activities for a favorite character).

  • The goods shop is set up at the special venue on the 2nd floor of Sapporo Factory 3条館. This is different from the event venue (Sapporo Factory Hall), so be careful not to go to the wrong place.
  • Visitors without an event admission ticket can also enter the goods shop and buy goods.

Crane Game

The plush toys from Bread Thief's hideout, which were a big hit in Yokohama, are planned to appear in the crane game. Three types will be available at the Sapporo venue: shokupan (sliced bread), anpan (sweet bean bun) and a bread roll. Visitors can collect all three on their own, or each take one home with friends and family as matching plush toys with Bread Thief.
