The renovation of JR Nagoya Station's central concourse is set to be completed with the opening of "cafe & gifts Piyorin Village" on June 15, 2026. Following five stores that opened in earlier phases of the renovation, this new addition marks the final step of the multi-stage project that has been gradually reshaping the station's commercial spaces.

Cafe-Exclusive Menu Highlights
Village Piyorin — Pudding Only, No Bavarian Cream
A first for Piyorin: the "Village Piyorin" forgoes the Bavarian cream wrapping used in the standard version and is made entirely of pudding. With nothing to dilute it, the rich flavor of Nagoya Cochin eggs comes through directly, making this a more indulgent take on the original.

Starry Sky Piyorin — Available from 5:00 PM
Available only in the evenings, the "Starry Sky Piyorin" features a rich Nagoya Cochin egg pudding encased in a cocoa and chocolate Bavarian cream, with a bamboo charcoal crumble evoking a night sky. A star-shaped chocolate piece tops each one for a distinctive look.

A Wide Range of Piyorin-Inspired Items
The cafe also offers a variety of desserts, drinks, and food items that draw on Piyorin's appearance and flavors, giving visitors multiple ways to enjoy the iconic character through food.

Queue Management and Reservations
An automated ticketing machine at the cafe entrance will handle wait-time management. After taking a numbered ticket, guests can scan a QR code on their smartphone to receive a notification when their table is ready.
A limited number of reservable seats are also planned. Details on how and when to book are expected to be announced in mid-May 2026.

A Renewed Facade Inspired by Nagoya Tradition
As part of the concourse renovation, the storefronts throughout the central concourse area have also been refreshed. The new facade design takes inspiration from Arimatsu Shibori, a traditional dyeing craft native to Nagoya, incorporating its geometric patterns into the architectural detail. The texture creates shifting shadows and highlights that change with distance and viewing angle, offering a dynamic visual experience for passersby.
