Staying overnight or posting about the visit on Instagram earns points on the guesthouse's official LINE account, which can be redeemed for original goods that make the trip more fun, or a breakfast voucher at sister property Ishigaki Island Hotel Cucule.

The Story Behind the Campaign: 10 Years of "Kukuru" (Heart)

Chura Cucule Ishigaki Island will reach its 10th anniversary in October 2026. "Kukuru" is an Okinawan word meaning "heart." The campaign is meant to give shape to a decade of gratitude and to make guests' future travels even richer.

As the first part of the anniversary celebrations, the guesthouse held a photo contest themed "Your Ishigaki Island," inviting entries that captured not just travel destinations but everyday life, encounters with people, and small, memorable scenes.

For this second part of the celebrations, the guesthouse has prepared original novelty goods and breakfast vouchers. Guests who add the guesthouse's official LINE account as a friend and collect points receive limited-edition novelty items.

Novelty Lineup: Rewards That Make Your Trip More Fun

Novelties are available in limited quantities, and the campaign will end once supplies run out.

A novelty is awarded each time a point threshold is reached. Reaching 10 points means collecting the entire novelty lineup.

1. Through your stay

One point is awarded per night. For consecutive nights, a single stay earns a maximum of 3 points (capped at 3 points even for stays of 4 nights or more).

2. Through an Instagram post

Guests who post a feed post about their stay with the hashtag "#ちゅらククル石垣島" and a mention of the guesthouse's account (@chura_cucule) receive 1 point. A maximum of 1 point per stay applies, even if multiple posts are made.

Chura Cucule Ishigaki Island is a guesthouse on Ishigaki Island, Okinawa, with private bunk-style sleeping areas alongside a shared "yuntaku" (gathering) lounge and communal kitchen. When it first opened, Ishigaki Island faced a shortage of accommodations, and the guesthouse was created to offer a place where solo travelers and women in particular could stay with peace of mind. It repurposed unused space in an existing building and made use of island materials to open as a new type of accommodation. Resident artists have also created works and live paintings displayed inside the guesthouse, reflecting its concept as "a place that keeps growing as a space." The guesthouse received a Good Design Award in 2016.
