Dei Amami (デイ奄美), a private whole-villa vacation rental on Amami Oshima, is celebrating its first anniversary since opening in May 2025. Villa Type A separates the bedrooms and living areas across two floors, ensuring privacy for groups and families alike. The upper level opens up to an even more expansive panoramic view of the ocean.
Villa Type B: Open-Plan Loft with a Sense of Airiness
Villa Type B features a high double-height ceiling that allows natural light and breezes to flow freely through the interior. The moment guests walk in, the sense of openness is striking. An unobstructed sightline runs from the interior straight through the terrace pool and out to the sea, creating a seamless connection with the surrounding nature.
Private Pool and Barrel Sauna in Every Villa
Each villa comes with its own private pool and a full-specification barrel sauna. A spacious wooden deck connects both, furnished with deck chairs and a parasol for outdoor relaxation. Guests can also fire up a Weber electric grill for a proper barbecue, or gather around a fire pit for a quiet evening under the stars.
The barrel sauna is fitted with a Harvia heater for an authentic sauna session. Guests can adjust the steam to their liking using self-löyly, then cool off in the private pool and take in the outdoor air on the terrace. Surrounded by Amami's lush greenery and sea breeze — or a sky full of stars at night — the experience engages all five senses.
