ELECOM to Exhibit Redesigned EGG MOUSE at 19th LIFE×DESIGN Trade Show Marking 40th Anniversary

ELECOM Corporation (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Osaka; President and Executive Officer: Koichi Ishimi) will exhibit at the 19th LIFE×DESIGN trade show, taking place from February 4 (Wednesday) to 6 (Friday) at Tokyo Big Sight.

At the booth, ELECOM will debut a redesigned version of the EGG MOUSE to mark the company's 40th anniversary.

The Original EGG MOUSE: Born from the Pursuit of Usability

The original EGG MOUSE, launched by ELECOM in 1988, features a distinctive egg-shaped design. At a time when square mice were standard, ELECOM pioneered a shape that fits comfortably in the hand. This design had a significant impact on the input device industry and is considered the prototype for today's mainstream mouse designs. Following the launch of the EGG MOUSE, ELECOM continued to introduce various innovations, earning the company 26 consecutive years as the No.1 domestic mouse seller (*1) in the mouse category of the "BCN AWARD," which recognizes companies with the highest domestic sales.

New EGG MOUSE Unveiled to Commemorate 40th Anniversary

ELECOM was founded in 1986 and will celebrate its 40th anniversary on May 28, 2026. The EGG MOUSE, which represents the origin of the company's input devices, has been redesigned at each milestone, incorporating contemporary needs and technologies.

To mark this 40th anniversary, ELECOM has developed a new EGG MOUSE that can be used as a fashionable accent to enhance everyday life, featuring dedicated covers that allow color customization. The company will display samples of this new product, scheduled for release in summer 2026, for the first time at the 19th LIFE×DESIGN exhibition. Visitors to the booth will be able to see and touch the product in person.
