A new "Matsuya Ginza Limited Shop" for the apparel line "ERIKO YAMAGUCHI" has opened on the first floor of Matsuya Club at Matsuya Ginza from August 22 (Saturday). The line is produced by Motherhouse Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Taito-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Eriko Yamaguchi), a company built on the mission of "creating brands with global appeal, born in developing countries."
The central fixture, styled after a loom, strung with khadi thread.
Launched in 2022, "ERIKO YAMAGUCHI" works with natural materials, including the hand-spun, hand-woven "khadi" fabric produced at its own workshop in India, handling everything from design through production in-house. The brand pursues a structural and functional beauty that draws out the innate character of its materials, proposing a borderless, modish style that transcends gender and age.
The symbol of the new "Matsuya Ginza Limited Shop" is an original fixture shaped like a loom, embodying the brand's approach of "building from the thread." Styled after a loom's warp threads, it displays the hand-spun, hand-woven khadi yarn actually used in the brand's production.
Aiming to engage more deeply with every step of "making clothing from thread," the brand also took on natural plant dyeing for the first time with its 2026 Fall/Winter collection. Displays that focus on the handcraft of dyeing yarn and weaving it into fabric let visitors experience the story behind the making, in a space unique to this store.

From the store's opening through September 13 (Sunday), pre-orders are being taken for the 2026 Fall/Winter collection. Visitors can try on and pre-order pieces from the new collection, which will be released in stages going forward.
The collection's theme is "INNER VOICE." Techniques such as washing and shirring are applied at the fabric stage itself, drawing out the varied expressions of natural materials. Through designs that are experimental and unstructured yet blend naturally into everyday life, the collection brings out the personality that emerges from within the person wearing it.
