ESPERANZA, a shoe brand from the World Group, is releasing collaboration sneakers with NARUMIYA CHARACTERS as the second installment of its brand collaboration project. Early sales start on October 1 (Thursday).
ESPERANZA is a fashion shoe brand that incorporates seasonal trends and has won strong support from a wide range of women.
The collaboration features two characters that continue to attract attention across generations amid the recent "Heisei retro" and "Y2K" boom: Nakamura-kun of "Angel Blue" and Berrie-chan of "Mezzo Piano."
The project began around the theme of "products that make your heart flutter" ahead of the "Tokimeki wa Muteki" (ときめきはムテキ) event held at Lumine Est Shinjuku. It combines the trend-shoe know-how ESPERANZA has built up with the cross-generational appeal of NARUMIYA CHARACTERS, creating a special collaboration that only these two brands could deliver.
The sneakers are based on ESPERANZA's best-selling model. While bringing out the charm of each character, they add colors and details that match current trends. These platform sneakers are made to be worn as a trend item, whether by those who were once hooked on Narumiya brands or by the younger generation enjoying today's fashion.

Design Details
The upper is decorated with a removable embroidered character charm. The laces come with "AB (Angel Blue)" and "MP (Mezzo Piano)" beads, along with beads in each brand's color. Both can be removed to suit your mood or styling.
The characters are also printed on the heel and the insole, so the cuteness can be enjoyed not only while wearing the shoes but also when they are taken off.
Original Shoe Box
An original shoe box was created for this collaboration. The Mezzo Piano model features a design based on the shopping bag that was highly popular at the time, while the Angel Blue model recreates the shoe box from that era. With a special logo used only for this collaboration, each pair is a special one packed with attention to detail.
