Forest Adventure TATESHINA, an outdoor adventure park nestled in the forests of Chino City, Nagano, is set to reopen on April 25, 2026 (Saturday) with a brand-new "Trek Course." The previous "Adventure Course" and "Canopy Course" are being retired in favor of a redesigned experience that introduces a time-based, free-choice format across 9 different sites within the park.
A Flexible Course Where Families Can Experience It All Together
The new Trek Course is available to anyone at least 110 cm tall and in 1st grade of elementary school or above. With 9 sites to choose from, visitors can select which areas to explore based on their own energy levels and interests — no fixed route required. Deciding "where to challenge next" becomes part of the adventure itself.
Previously, differences in eligibility requirements meant families sometimes had to split up across separate courses. Under the new format, everyone can participate in the same course together, making for a more shared and memorable experience.
A new "Tarzan Swing" has also been added to the lineup. Launching from an elevated platform in the treetops, participants swing toward a net on the opposite side, testing both their nerve to take that first step and their thrill for height. (Requirements: minimum 140 cm tall, maximum 110 kg)
An Eco-Conscious Update That Works With the Forest
Forest Adventure TATESHINA is designed to work with the natural environment rather than against it, avoiding large-scale development in creating its courses. For the new Trek Course, approximately half of the activities from the existing layout have been refreshed, with new additions that make the course feel fresh even for returning visitors. The park continues its commitment to minimizing environmental impact while enhancing the experience.
