FuguBall POP UP STORE Opens at Lumine Est Shinjuku From October 17

Lumine Est Shinjuku will host the "FuguBall POP UP STORE" from Saturday, October 17, the first pop-up event for FuguBall, a character created by the creator Katsuki Maru. Plans for the venue include the character's first original goods, an exclusive novelty gift for purchasers, and a screening of a short anime that can only be seen there.

FuguBall is a short anime that follows the loose, surreal, and slightly funny everyday life of a land-dwelling, pufferfish-like creature and its distinctive friends. After its full-scale launch in 2025, its unique movements proved addictive and quickly became a talking point. Its TikTok following has passed 190,000, and its fans are growing rapidly both in Japan and overseas, including in Asia and the United States. A new original photo serial, "フグボール日和", has also started in the magazine ViVi, and the character is drawing rapidly rising attention.

About the Pop-Up Store

FuguBall, a plump creature that wobbles as it moves, plays with Swallow, Chicken, and its mentor ShikaBall, and also gets chased by them. That everyday life, which until now has been shown on screen, has become a shop for the first time. The space and items are designed to be enjoyed both by people who have followed FuguBall for a long time and by those meeting the character for the first time.

Photo Spots and Venue-Exclusive Anime

Motifs from the anime are placed throughout the store, creating a space that looks as if FuguBall and its friends have appeared in a shop. Along with photo spots where visitors can take pictures with the characters, the monitors in the venue will screen a short anime that can only be seen there.
