The FUJI TEXTILE WEEK Executive Committee (Chairman: Fumio Nanjo) announces the textile art festival "FUJI TEXTILE WEEK 2025" will be held from Saturday, November 22 to Sunday, December 14, 2025. The festival will collaborate with FSX Corporation, Fujisan Rokuroku Railway Co., Ltd., and Yamanashi Chuo Bank to display artworks using their stores and station buildings as exhibition venues.
The venues include three locations: Expression Kawaguchiko, a French café & terrace opened by FSX Corporation in July this year; Shimoyoshida Station, operated by Fujisan Rokuroku Railway Co., Ltd. on the Fujikyu Railway Line; and the Yoshida Branch of Yamanashi Chuo Bank. Artists will display works using textiles at each venue. The works can be viewed free of charge by general customers using the venues, and some are planned to be utilized even after the festival period ends. The FUJI TEXTILE WEEK Executive Committee aims for the festival to become more rooted in the town and revitalize it through such collaborations with local businesses. Additionally, by displaying works in places used by the general public during the festival period, the committee hopes to create an opportunity for citizens to regularly encounter art and textile works, helping them rediscover their pride and culture as a "weaving town."
The festival also announced that during the period, there will be an exhibition of works by students of "coconogacco," a school for learning fashion, as well as a presentation of the 2025 achievements of the "KYODO PROJECT," where creators and textile businesses jointly develop products.
