Comment from Ando, President of Fujiya Hotel Co., Ltd.
Fujiya Hotel, founded in 1878, has continued to protect its architectural beauty that blends Japanese and Western styles, and in 1997 five of its buildings were designated as nationally Registered Tangible Cultural Properties. The history and culture we have carried forward through the seismic retrofit work conducted over about two years from 2018 are brought to life by our employees, who embody daily care and hospitality, and I am proud to share this honor with them. Toward our 150th anniversary in July 2028, we will keep pursuing the highest level of service while protecting tradition, and we will continue to warmly welcome the guests who give our history new life.
