Fukuroda Onsen Omoide Romankan is holding an "Apple Event" from Thursday, October 1, 2026 through Wednesday, March 31, 2027. The event is built around the inn's popular apple bath, along with other ways for guests to enjoy Okukuji apples, a specialty of Daigo Town.
🍎 A Popular Apple Bath
Continuing from last year, guests can once again enjoy an apple bath scented with Okukuji apples grown in Daigo Town.
Wrapped in the refreshing scent of apples, the bath at this hot spring inn -- known as a "beauty bath" -- offers a relaxing escape for body and mind alike.
About the hot springs at Omoide Romankan
- The water is colorless and odorless, with a gentle quality that is easy on the skin.
- Among simple hot springs, those with a pH of 8.5 or higher (pH 8.9 at Romankan) are classified as alkaline simple hot springs, known as "beauty-skin baths" that smooth the texture of the skin.
- The water rarely causes bathing fatigue, making it a recommended choice for a baby's first hot spring visit.
🍎 An Apple Welcome

After check-in, guests are welcomed with an apple-themed light snack. Enjoy a moment of ease with the gentle sweetness of apples.
About Fukuroda Onsen Omoide Romankan

Standing in the Okukuji and Fukuroda area, Fukuroda Onsen Omoide Romankan is just a three-minute drive from Fukuroda Falls, one of Japan's three great waterfalls and a landmark Ibaraki Prefecture takes pride in. The inn lets guests enjoy its hot springs to the fullest, from an open-air bath by the mountain stream to guest rooms with their own open-air baths. It also serves colorful meals built around local vegetables carefully selected by the head chef and the flavors of Okukuji-Daigo, along with attentive service that covers every part of a stay.
New Room: Mountain Stream Superior Room

Renewed this summer, the room has been redesigned into a comfortable, Japanese-modern space in a Western-style layout that connects guests with the surrounding nature. The sweeping view of the mountain stream and rural hills through the window, along with the sound of the river, add a sense of escape from everyday life. Wrapped in calm colors and interior design, guests can settle into a deeply restful moment.
