Mito Plaza Hotel (located at 2078-1 Senba-cho, Mito City, Ibaraki Prefecture) announces the arrival of "Strawberry Afternoon Tea Set Vol.2" at its in-house "Cafe & Bar Plaza," starting February 1, 2026. This second edition of the popular strawberry-themed afternoon tea will run through March 14 (Saturday).
The set features an eye-catching lineup of unique sweets that showcase the appeal of strawberries in exciting new ways. With its elegant presentation, it makes a perfect gift for Valentine's Day or White Day celebrations.
Additionally, guests can enjoy a tasting comparison of three varieties of Ibaraki Prefecture strawberries delivered directly from local farms, offering a seasonal treat exclusive to this time of year.

Usami-en
After the new variety "Yayoihime" appeared in 2005, this farm was among the first in the region to begin cultivating it. Winner of the Grand Prize at the "5th Ibaraki Strawberry Grand Prix General Category."

About Mito Plaza Hotel
A hotel with the concept of "Guesthouse in the Forest," owned and operated by Isejin Honsha Co., Ltd., which celebrated its 300th anniversary on October 1, 2024.
The interior design was created by John David Edison, great-grandson of the famous inventor Edison, and the hotel opened in 2001.
