GALA Yuzawa, renamed GALA YUZAWA MOUNTAIN FIELD this season, is currently open for its Summer Park. Now that August has arrived and summer is in full swing, the park has been welcoming large crowds of visitors every day.
One of the biggest draws right now is the newly launched Panorama Coaster, this summer's top recommendation. Visitors who have ridden it have shared enthusiastic feedback, saying it was fun, that they want to ride again, and that the scenery was beautiful.
GALA Summer Park will remain open daily through September 23 (Holiday, Wed).
Panorama Coaster
Now in full operation, the Panorama Coaster is a thrilling ride that makes the most of the area's terrain and natural panorama. Riders race along a 305m course while taking in sweeping natural views and a real sense of speed.
Panorama Seesaw
Set against the backdrop of nature at an elevation of approximately 1,030m, this giant motorized seesaw is about 9m long and reaches a maximum height of about 7m above the ground. It's a new kind of attraction, offering open, expansive views over the mountains of Echigo.
Active Buggy
Riders can drive a 4WD buggy through GALA's summer landscape, cruising through nature while feeling a refreshing summer breeze. The Active Buggy has become such a popular activity that reservation slots sometimes sell out during the morning on some days.
Summer Event: "GALA Night Festival" - August 12 (Wed) to 14 (Fri)
Following its popularity last season, the "GALA Night Festival" returns for three days on August 12, 13, and 14. Highlights include night views over Yuzawa Town from the night gondola, a festival game corner, sky lanterns, and fireworks. Sky lanterns are scheduled to launch at 7:45 PM, followed by fireworks at 8:00 PM. The festival runs for these three days only.
Festival Game Corner
The festival corner offers games including shooting galleries, ring toss, candy mold cutting, super ball scooping, yo-yo fishing, can knockdown, and cotton candy making.
Outdoor Activities
Outdoor activities will have extended hours, operating until 6:00 PM (last reception at 5:30 PM).
