Summer Activities Begin at Naeba Prince Hotel & Naeba Ski Resort — July 11 to August 30, 2026

Located in Yuzawa Town, Niigata Prefecture at an elevation of 907 meters, Naeba Prince Hotel and Naeba Ski Resort will be running their summer activity season from July 11 (Saturday) to August 30 (Sunday), 2026.

The area offers a notable temperature advantage over urban centers during summer. While Tokyo recorded an average temperature of approximately 29.6°C in August (based on 2025 Japan Meteorological Agency data), Naeba's average for the same period was around 22.3°C — a difference of about 7°C. With the hotel at 907 meters above sea level and the summit reaching 1,518 meters, there is an additional 6 to 7°C temperature gap between the hotel front and the mountaintop, making it a cool escape even during the hottest months of the year.

The gondola departing from the hotel front — known as the HOSHIZORA GONDOLA (originally the Prince 2nd Gondola, rebranded in spring of last year) — carries visitors up to the summit area. At the top, the HOSHIZORA TERRACE features illuminations and projection mapping displays, while the HOSHIZORA MUSEUM offers a star-themed library corner along with concept food and beverage menus.

At the hotel front slopes, the Rainbow Slider — a colorful, 100-meter-long slide — has been a popular attraction. Families can also experience the Wild Buggy, an off-road buggy ride that parents and children can enjoy together. In total, around 20 types of outdoor activities are available for families throughout the season.
