Galerie Tamenaga Paris Extends Sohey Iwata Solo Exhibition "In Flow" Through June 27

Galerie Tamenaga Paris is holding the first solo exhibition in France by Japanese painter Sohey Iwata, titled "Sohey IWATA – In Flow." Having opened on May 28, 2026, the exhibition was originally scheduled to close on June 20 (Saturday), but due to its warm reception, the run has been extended through June 27 (Saturday).

Iwata first presented his work at Galerie Tamenaga Paris in 2019 and has continued to captivate art enthusiasts across Europe. This exhibition marks his long-awaited first solo show in Paris. Approximately 30 works are on display, centered on two themes: the "undivided" state that exists before life separates into distinct forms, and "in flow," the idea of endlessly circulating currents. The selection includes large-scale folding screen compositions depicting flowers and ink wash works with incised markings on Japanese paper.

Galerie Tamenaga Paris is one of the largest galleries in Paris. Located close to the prestigious Hôtel Le Bristol Paris on the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré — a street renowned for its luxury boutiques — the gallery sits in a vibrant gallery district that draws art lovers from around the world. In recent years, Galerie Tamenaga has also focused on introducing emerging Japanese artists to international audiences through exhibitions such as "NOUVEL HORIZON JAPON."

The opening reception drew a lively crowd of local media and art collectors, getting the exhibition off to an energetic start.
