Yoku Moku Museum in Minato-ku, Tokyo, is holding the YM Art Session "Arabesque of Constellations" in November 2026. Themed on the stars shining in the clear winter night sky, the art program invites participants to layer gold and silver shimmer with rich colors to express a fantastical world of their own.
The museum is also introducing a new Precious Class with tea time, held on weekdays and planned several times a year. With a relaxed creative session and a viewing of the works participants have made, the class offers a special time to savor the lingering feeling of creating. Saturday adult classes and art session classes for kids, both well received, are also held, so programs are available for a wide range of ages.
Event Overview
Event name: YM Art Session "Arabesque of Constellations" in November
As autumn deepens, the cold season is on its way. Winter is said to be the time of year when the sky is especially clear and the stars shine most beautifully. Participants layer gold and silver shimmer and rich colors over a black night sky to express a world like an arabesque pattern woven by constellations and stars. While feeling the interplay of light and color, they can enjoy expressing color with free imagination.
New Precious Class (Ages 18 and Over)
- Date: Friday, November 13, 2026
- Time: 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM (includes tea time with mignardises)
- Fee: ¥6,500 (tax included)
Participants work on their creations in a more relaxed time frame than a regular art session. Toward the end of the session, tea time with mignardises and a viewing session are held, so participants can look over their finished works and enjoy the lingering feeling of creating.
Participants who wish can also receive a ¥200 discount coupon for admission to the special exhibition. The coupon can be used on days other than the art session day, so visitors can enjoy the exhibition at their convenience. If used on the day of the session, visitors can enter at any time, such as before or after the session. Visitors planning to see the exhibition should allow about 60 minutes.

What Are Mignardises?
For the tea time in the Precious Class, mignardises from UN GRAIN, a mignardises specialty shop in Minami-Aoyama, are served.
Mignardises is a French word meaning "refinement" and "daintiness," and refers to small, bite-sized sweets. At UN GRAIN, they are known as sweets that add a sense of hospitality to time spent with someone special.
Participants can take their time enjoying the lingering feeling of creating while viewing their own works with the mignardises.

Supervised by Spanish art researcher 松田健児, the exhibition centers on ceramic works by Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, and Miquel Barceló, three of Spain's leading artists. It shows how deeply each was tied to the land of Catalonia and the form each artist's feelings for Catalonia took.
