Bandai Namco Experience and Bandai Namco Amusement are opening the Gashapon Bandai Official Shop Central Cinema Sanko store — a specialty store for Bandai's capsule toy brand "Gashapon" — inside Central Cinema Sanko in Nakatsu City, Oita Prefecture, on Friday, August 21, 2026.

In recent years, large capsule toy specialty stores have been increasing across the capsule toy industry, enjoyed by many customers as familiar, everyday entertainment. Wanting to deliver the "exciting experience" and "unique products" of Bandai's original capsule toy brand "Gashapon" directly to fans, Bandai, Bandai Namco Experience (handling planning and production), and Bandai Namco Amusement (bringing its expertise in operating large capsule toy specialty stores) are collaborating to open this store.
The Gashapon Bandai Official Shop Central Cinema Sanko store is opening in Nakatsu City, Oita Prefecture, as a Bandai-official capsule toy specialty store featuring 210 machines all in one place. By carrying the complete lineup of Bandai's new capsule toy products and offering a "Gashapon experience" available only here, the store will showcase new sides of "Gashapon"'s appeal. A corner featuring merchandise related to films is also planned, fitting for its location inside a movie theater.
With intricate sculpting and a constant stream of unique products, capsule toys have become a leading presence among miniature toys today. To share the entertainment value of "Gashapon" with as many people as possible, both in Japan and abroad, the companies plan to continue opening new stores.

2. Some Products Can Be Purchased Online and Picked Up In Store
Some products can be purchased through "Gashapon Bandai Official Shop Online Store," the official online store operated by Bandai Namco Amusement! They can then be picked up at the counter of stores that support online order pickup.
In-store pickup service is scheduled to launch at a later date.
3. Enjoy a "Gashapon Experience" Unique to the Official Shop
The store offers plenty of ways for customers to enjoy themselves, including the "Gashapoint Station" empty-capsule collection box (pictured), where visitors can experience firsthand the handle-turning action behind "Gashapon" — a name derived from the sound of "turning the handle with a gasha and popping out a capsule with a pon" — as well as showcases displaying featured products. The store also offers Bandai Namco Group's signature entertainment-filled services, including purchase campaigns and customer-participation events.
