Gashapon Bandai Official Shop Opens at Cinema Sunshine Shimonoseki on May 15

A new Gashapon Bandai Official Shop is set to open on May 15, 2026, inside Cinema Sunshine Shimonoseki — located within Sea Mall Shimonoseki in Shimonoseki City, Yamaguchi Prefecture.

The store carries 240 capsule toy machines under one roof, all stocked with Bandai's latest Gashapon releases. A dedicated corner featuring movie-related merchandise is also planned, suited to the cinema setting. The capsule toy market has been growing steadily, with large specialty stores becoming a popular form of everyday entertainment. This location brings the full Bandai Gashapon lineup directly to Shimonoseki fans.

The store carries Bandai's complete lineup of new Gashapon products, with real-time product availability searchable through the official Gashapon Bandai Official Shop website.

2. Online Store Pickup

Some products can be purchased through the official online store operated by Bandai Namco Amusement. Customers will be able to pick up their orders at the store counter. (This service is scheduled to launch at a later date.)

3. The Gashapon Experience

The store is set up so visitors can enjoy the hands-on thrill of turning the Gashapon handle themselves, through "Gashapon Point Stations" — empty capsule collection boxes — as well as product showcases and customer participation events.
