Matsurube Onsen Kamikura (operated by Near Corporation) in Ichinoseki City, Iwate Prefecture is developing a pair of unique gateau chocolat desserts designed around the concept of "savoring the aftertaste."
The inn is currently preparing to launch two varieties: a black gateau chocolat featuring burdock and a white gateau chocolat with yuzu.

Product Details
Black Gateau Chocolat
The black gateau chocolat combines the subtle bitterness and depth of burdock with rich bitter chocolate. It offers a smooth, melt-in-your-mouth texture with a quietly profound flavor.

White Gateau Chocolat
The white gateau chocolat features the gentle fragrance of yuzu layered with the mild acidity of strained yogurt in white chocolate. It's characterized by a clean aftertaste that doesn't leave heaviness.
Development Concept
At Matsurube Onsen Kamikura, the "aftertaste" that extends from the guest experience is highly valued.
Just like the hot springs and cuisine, the inn wanted to deliver "memorable tranquility" through dessert as well.
From this desire, two contrasting gateau chocolat varieties were born - one black, one white.
