Gunma Flower Park Plus (ぐんまフラワーパークプラス), located in Maebashi, Gunma Prefecture, is holding its major early summer fair "Ajisai Matsuri" from Saturday, June 13, to Friday, July 17, 2026. The park reopened in autumn 2025 under the concept "Enjoy! Play with Flowers," and this season it is presenting a rich line-up of events—many designed to be enjoyed even during the rainy season.

4 Highlights of Ajisai Matsuri
1. Around 5,000 Hydrangeas in Full Bloom, Including Colorful Varieties Bred in Gunma
Around 5,000 hydrangea plants—one of the park's signature flowers—will come into season throughout the grounds. The display includes colorful pink and blue varieties bred within Gunma Prefecture, as well as elegant pink and white Annabelles and Panicle Hydrangeas (Noriutsugi). Summer flowers such as Rudbeckia, herbs, and sunflowers will also arrive one after another, giving the park a vibrant early summer character.

2. "Rainy Day WEEK" — Two Weeks of Indoor Fun (June 20 – July 5)
To give visitors a reason to head out even during the rainy season, the park is running "Rainy Day WEEK" from Saturday, June 20, to Sunday, July 5. Events include indoor activities where guests can stay dry, plus a free "Hydrangea Walk Rally" guiding participants through hydrangea displays and indoor photo spots. From June 20 (Saturday) to July 3 (Friday), an "Indoor Play & Mini Theater" space will be available free of charge at the Kokage Tent and Minamo Terrace Atrium, featuring a musical instrument play area and a ball pool for preschool-age children.

3. First-Ever Indoor Cat Event: "Hana Neko Marché" (July 4–5)
On Saturday and Sunday, July 4 and 5, the park will host its first-ever indoor cat marché, "Hana Neko Marché," inside the Minamo Terrace and Kokage Tent.
