The Hakone Pirate Ship, operated by Odakyu Hakone Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Odawara City, Kanagawa Prefecture), is adding a special "Fireworks Cruise" to its schedule to coincide with the Lake Ashinoko Summer Festival Week fireworks displays, held from Friday, July 31 to Wednesday, August 5, 2026.
On the "Fireworks Cruise," passengers can watch the fireworks launched over Lake Ashinoko up close from the deck or cabin of the fantastically lit-up pirate ship, enjoying a graceful, cool evening on the water as colorful, spectacular fireworks light up the sky.
Fireworks Cruise Sailing Schedule
(1) Friday, July 31 – Kosui-sai Fireworks Display
- Depart Moto-Hakone Port 7:30 PM → Hakone-machi Port 7:45 PM → (Moto-Hakone Bay) → Arrive Moto-Hakone Port 8:40 PM → Arrive Hakone-machi Port 8:50 PM
- Depart Togendai Port 7:30 PM → (Moto-Hakone Bay) → Arrive Togendai Port 9:00 PM
(2) Saturday, August 1 – Reitaisai Hoshuku Fireworks Display

Fares are exclusive to the Fireworks Cruise and differ from regular scheduled-route fares. The Hakone Free Pass and other multi-ride tickets cannot be used for this cruise. Capacity is approximately 450 passengers per sailing.

- Togendai Port – 164 Moto-Hakone, Hakone-machi, Ashigarashimo-gun, Kanagawa Prefecture (get off at the "Togendai" stop)
How to Purchase Tickets
Online reservation: Advance tickets will be sold through Jalan net and asoview. Ticket sales will open progressively as preparations for each sailing are completed.
Same-day sales: Same-day tickets go on sale at the counter of each departure port starting at 5:15 PM. Advance reservations take priority, and once a sailing reaches capacity, same-day tickets will not be sold.
Other Notes
- The cruise may be cancelled in the event of poor weather. Please check the "Hakone Navi" website for the day's operating status.
- Parking near the ports is limited — about 120 free spaces next to Hakone-machi Port, about 70 paid spaces next to Moto-Hakone Port, and about 40 paid spaces next to Togendai Port — so using public transportation is recommended.
