HARIO, the heat-resistant glassware manufacturer, has announced the domestic release of the HARIO Alpha Dripper Tritan—a coffee dripper developed by HARIO Taiwan that sold out when first offered at a limited SCAJ (one of Asia's largest specialty coffee trade shows) event last year.
The HARIO Alpha Dripper Tritan inherits the hallmark features of HARIO's iconic V60—a conical shape and single large hole—while evolving the rib design into a concave form. By allowing the filter to fit more snugly against the dripper, the design reduces inconsistency during extraction, delivering a smoother brew that is less prone to clogging.
The dripper incorporates 24 alternating long and short ribs. Optimally angled downward-facing ribs keep the paper filter stable inside the dripper and allow hot water to flow freely, supporting the "uniform extraction" approach that has been gaining attention in the specialty coffee community.
The body is made from PCT resin—a highly transparent, heat-resistant, BPA-free material—making it lightweight, durable, and suitable not only for everyday home use but also for outdoor and on-the-go brewing.
Following its SCAJ debut, buyers introduced the dripper on social media and YouTube, sparking widespread interest and prompting many requests for a restock and permanent lineup addition. In response to that reception, HARIO is now making the Alpha Dripper Tritan an official part of its domestic lineup.
