What Is Pinkful Day?

Pinkful Day overview

Pinkful Day is a Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks event where every attendee receives a limited-edition uniform, turning the entire stadium a vivid shade of pink. Beyond baseball itself, the day offers a lineup of exclusive programs that give fans of all backgrounds a variety of ways to enjoy the experience. Pink — a color that evokes excitement and the feeling of the extraordinary — carries the legacy of the Hawks' "TakaGirl♡ Day," and the word "full" reflects the hope that the stadium will be filled not only with pink, but with the powerful energy of the players and the joy of every single fan in attendance.

A Pink-Filled Stadium Welcomes Fans

On May 8, attendees with a same-day game ticket received a limited-edition "Hello Kitty Pinkful Uniform." The uniform had originally been revealed on February 21 at a special stage held at Miyazaki City's Ikimeno Mori Sports Park, where Hello Kitty appeared during the Hawks' spring training camp.

The dark navy uniform — a striking contrast to the event's signature pink — was designed to suit fans of any age. With attendees wearing it throughout the venue, the stadium took on the vibrant, unified atmosphere that defines Pinkful Day.

In addition to the uniform, each attendee also received one of six randomly distributed fan designs, celebrating Harmonyland's 35th anniversary and featuring Hello Kitty, Cinnamoroll, Pompompurin, Wish Me Mell, Kuromi, and My Melody. A dedicated Harmonyland booth ran an official SNS follow campaign, rewarding participants with an original postcard. Outside the stadium, photo panels and themed photo spots were set up, giving fans a chance to take memorable photos in Sanrio's signature cute world.

Pre-Game Fan Service Programs

Children taking part in the pre-game fan service program

Before the game, fan service programs called "Play Catch with Players" and "On Your Marks" gave children the rare opportunity to step onto the field at Mizuho PayPay Dome Fukuoka and interact directly with Hawks players. Participants were recruited through the All Japan Women's Baseball Federation, for which Hello Kitty serves as ambassador, making it a particularly special occasion for the children who took part.

Just before first pitch, Hello Kitty arrived in a Pinkful limited-edition uniform, joined by Cinnamoroll, Pompompurin, and Wish Me Mell in pink-themed costumes — all making their way to the field from Harmonyland. Hello Kitty and Wish Me Mell presented Sanrio character mascots engraved with the names of every bench player from both teams, while Cinnamoroll and Pompompurin took part in the pre-game ceremony, adding to the festive atmosphere.

Hello Kitty then took the mound for the ceremonial first pitch. Standing in her Pinkful uniform, she delivered a complete throw to an enthusiastic crowd, making for a memorable start to the game.
