HESTA RESORT Izu Reopens in Shizuoka's Higashi-Izu on July 13 After a Full Renewal

HESTA RESORT Izu, run by Okura Club & Hotels Co., Ltd., a group company of HESTA Okura Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President Katsumi Hirosawa), is reopening in Higashi-izu, Shizuoka Prefecture, on Monday, July 13, 2026, following a full renovation and a grand opening under a new concept.

Keeping its commanding location overlooking Sagami Bay, HESTA RESORT Izu has reimagined its interior design and stay style from the ground up. The renewed resort brings guests closer to nature while giving every visitor room to spend their time exactly as they like.

1. An Open Layout That Connects with Nature

The interior has been rebuilt around a calm, modern Japanese aesthetic that makes the most of soft light and natural materials, for a stay that keeps the sea, sky, and Izu's natural surroundings close at hand.

2. A New Way to Enjoy Your Stay

The lobby and other public spaces have been redesigned to make the time spent there more enjoyable in itself. The goal is a hotel with room to breathe, where guests can spend the hours between check-in and check-out however they like.

3. Guest Rooms Redesigned for Every Kind of Trip

The room lineup has been updated to suit a wider range of stays, from families and couples to groups. Both Japanese- and Western-style rooms have been made more comfortable, with an emphasis on a more relaxing space.

4. New Experience Content

The renewal also introduces new ways to enjoy the resort itself. Near the entrance, a new "HESTA Wellness Garden – Outdoor Lounge – (tentative name)" lets guests enjoy an outdoor atmosphere without leaving the hotel.

Part of the building also now houses "HESTA Wellness Garden – Indoor Camp Lounge – (tentative name)," a private, tent-style space where guests can enjoy the feel of camping regardless of the weather.

Looking ahead, the resort also plans to build an RV park to meet the needs of car-camping and outdoor-focused travelers, further expanding the range of trip styles it can support.
