Hiroshima Motomachisuizokukan (Director: Fumihiro Sato, Location: 6-78 Motomachi, Naka-ku, Hiroshima City, Pacela 7F) presents a special New Year exhibition titled "May This Year Go Swimmingly!" featuring spotted seahorses in a dedicated exhibition tank from January 2, 2026.

The spotted seahorse is a relative of the Japanese seahorse. When viewed from the front, its face bears a resemblance to a horse. Known as "Kuroumima" (literally "black sea horse") in Japanese and "Spotted seahorse" in English, this exhibition connects to next year's zodiac sign "Horse," making it an auspicious display for visitors.
Additionally, during the exhibition period, limited-edition fish seal stamps featuring the spotted seahorse will be available for sale. These are original designs created by our staff, so be sure to get yours!
The golden Japanese-themed space "Zipangu – Golden Scene" will also feature fortune-telling slips (omikuji) and festive New Year decorations. Don't miss this opportunity to visit Hiroshima Motomachisuizokukan!
