About the Exhibition
Ukiyoe Immersive Art Exhibition HIROSHIMA transforms more than 300 works by renowned ukiyo-e artists — including Katsushika Hokusai, Utagawa Kuniyoshi, Utagawa Hiroshige, Kitagawa Utamaro, Toshusai Sharaku, and Utagawa Kunisada — into graphic digital art using 3DCG animation and projection mapping, letting visitors of all ages step into the world of ukiyo-e across nine three-dimensional video spaces.
Through a special exhibition space unique to this venue and on public display for the first time, the Hiroshima run also lets visitors experience ukiyo-e depicting Hiroshima's scenery and explore the connection between Hiroshima and ukiyo-e from multiple angles.
Alongside exploring the artistic value of ukiyo-e, the exhibition offers displays that explain the culture and everyday life of the era in an accessible way.

Collaboration With Hiroshima Motomachi Aquarium (広島もとまち水族館)
Ukiyoe Immersive Art Exhibition HIROSHIMA is collaborating with Hiroshima Motomachi Aquarium (広島もとまち水族館), located in the same building as the exhibition venue, NTT Credo Hall.
Inside the aquarium, visitors can enjoy an immersive space featuring exclusive original footage, alongside actual ukiyo-e prints from the Edo period — Utagawa Hiroshige's 「魚づくし かながしら・木の葉鰈に笹」and a reproduction of Utagawa Kuniyoshi's 「金魚づくし」— along with explanatory panels on the sea creatures depicted in the works.
