HOHO HOJICHA Specialty Tea Shop to Open 14-Day Pop-Up at JR Kyoto Isetan Starting July 8

HOHO HOJICHA, a roasted green tea (hojicha) specialty shop based in Uji, Kyoto, is setting up a pop-up store at JR Kyoto Isetan, the department store directly connected to Kyoto Station. Running for 14 days from July 8 to 21, 2026, the pop-up will bring together the brand's signature lineup of hojicha-based sweets, teas, and beverages — including the store debut of a new hojicha pudding.

Debut Product: Gokujo Hoho Pudding

A new product makes its first-ever appearance at this pop-up. The Gokujo Hoho Pudding (¥781 including tax) is a smooth, richly flavored hojicha pudding made with tencha* stems, using a proprietary heating technique that eliminates the need for preservatives while enabling long-term storage at room temperature.

The pudding comes packaged in a charming teapot-shaped jar, making it suitable both as a personal treat and as a gift.

*Tencha refers to the tea leaves used as the raw material for matcha.
