Hotel Granvia Kyoto Marks 29th Anniversary With Matsutake Menus at Four Restaurants

Hotel Granvia Kyoto (Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto City; General Manager: Satoru Miura) marks its 29th anniversary on September 11 (Friday), 2026. To celebrate, four restaurants inside the hotel will serve anniversary menus featuring the autumn delicacy matsutake mushroom from September 1 (Tuesday) through October 31 (Saturday), 2026.

Since opening in 1997, Hotel Granvia Kyoto has been supported by many guests, and this year marks its 29th anniversary. As a token of appreciation, four restaurants have each prepared a dish that puts the fragrant matsutake mushroom center stage, drawing on the character of their own culinary style.

At the cafe restaurant Le Temps, a dinner-only buffet dish pairs matsutake with domestic beef tail, accented with sansho pepper from Gion Hararyokaku. The Japanese restaurant Ukihashi offers fragrant matsutake in a dobin mushi clay-pot broth. The teppanyaki restaurant Gozanbo prepares a kamameshi rice dish cooked with matsutake and jidori chicken, while the view-and-dining restaurant Cotociel presents blue lobster paired delicately with matsutake as part of its anniversary course.

Ahead of its 30th anniversary milestone in 2027, the hotel hopes to deliver a special culinary experience for everyone visiting Kyoto this autumn, carrying both gratitude for the past and hopes for what lies ahead.

29th Anniversary Matsutake Menu Overview
