Hotel Kazenoyama to Host Special Makers Dinner With Clos de Tenryu Winemaker Tomohiro Iwata, Celebrating South Shinshu's Terroir

Hotel Kazenoyama's French restaurant BERGWIND, run by Kazenoyama Co., Ltd. (Iida City, Nagano Prefecture), is welcoming Tomohiro Iwata, winemaker of the local winery Clos de Tenryu, for a special Makers Dinner limited to 24 guests on Sunday, October 11, 2026.

Beyond simply pairing wine and French cuisine, the evening unfolds as a five-senses tasting experience, unpacking "why this grape" and "why this dish" through the winemaker's own words.

■ Concept: Wine of South Shinshu, Food of South Shinshu

South Shinshu is blessed with a rich natural environment, framed by the Central Alps and the Southern Alps.

Guests can enjoy a French full-course menu that draws out the very best of this land's bounty, paired with wines from Clos de Tenryu that express the climate and terroir of Iida City.

Clos de Tenryu Wines

Rooted in Burgundy's philosophy of cultivation, the winery's distinctive wines are born from a scientific approach combined with deep passion. A glass that purely expresses the terroir of South Shinshu brings out the best in each dish.

On the night, winemaker Tomohiro Iwata will share, in his own words, the story behind each glass.

Guests can savor a moment where food and wine resonate together, touching on the philosophy and passion behind the wine.
