Starting June 1, 2026, "Terrace and Table," the all-day dining restaurant at Hotel Metropolitan Kawasaki, will be serving "Kawasaki-gori" — an artisan shaved ice created by the hotel's pastry chef — daily from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
The ice is sourced from Miyashita Seihyo Reizou, a company founded in 1900, and is made from deep natural spring water drawn from an underground aquifer in Shinshu. It is shaved into a light, snow-like texture. Three original sauces with sophisticated, adult-oriented flavor profiles are available, each finished with a fluffy Hokkaido condensed milk cream topping. The pairing of ice, sauce, and condensed milk cream makes for a luxurious and refreshing experience.

Red Fruit Kakigori

The sweet-tart intensity of raspberry sauce pairs with the rich, creamy sweetness of condensed milk cream. The result is a visually vibrant bowl that brings out the fruity character of three berries: raspberry, strawberry, and blueberry.
Hojicha Kakigori
