Hotel Metropolitan's Popular "Suica Penguin Sweets" Get a New Flavor — Limited to 30 per Day

Starting April 1, 2026, the Cake & Bakery Shop at Hotel Metropolitan (Nishi-Ikebukuro, Toshima-ku) is updating the flavors of its popular Suica Penguin sweets. The Suica Penguin Cake and Suica Penguin Pudding — both beloved for their cute designs — return with new taste profiles through August 31, 2026. Each item is limited to 30 pieces per day.

Suica Penguin Cake (Chocolat Orangette) — ¥780

Period: April 1 (Wed) – August 31 (Mon), 2026 | Limit: 30 per day

The new flavor features rich chocolate mousse paired with the bright aroma and acidity of orange — a classic combination. A nutty hazelnut financier base and a light chocolate cookie add contrasting textures, while the adorably seated Suica Penguin figure tops off the design.

Suica Penguin Pudding (Café Latte) — ¥500

Period: April 1 (Wed) – August 31 (Mon), 2026 | Limit: 30 per day

This season's pudding switches to a café latte flavor. A layer of espresso jelly sits atop café latte-flavored pudding, creating a gently bitter, milk-sweet dessert that's easy to enjoy.

The sweets are sold at the 1F Cake & Bakery Shop (open 11:00 AM–8:00 PM) inside Hotel Metropolitan, a 3-minute walk from the West Exit (South) of Ikebukuro Station.
