Hotel New Otani Makuhari's Signature Strawberry Buffet Second Phase Reservations Start!
In spring 2009, Hotel New Otani Makuhari became the first hotel in Chiba Prefecture to launch a strawberry buffet. Since then, more than 10,000 guests have enjoyed this experience annually. This pioneer of strawberry buffets now offers reservations for its spring-colored second phase strawberry buffet, starting tomorrow, January 23rd (Friday) at 12:00 PM.

As the season transitions from winter to spring, enjoying a strawberry buffet in the warm interior is an exceptional luxury. The "New Super Amaou Strawberry Shortcake", which remains immensely popular in the currently running Strawberry Collection [First Phase] (through February 28) and normally costs over ¥1,500 per piece, is available alongside the "Napoleon Pie," beloved for 60 years since Hotel New Otani's opening. The second phase introduces new items including "Strawberry Cream Puffs" and "Strawberry Baumkuchen" that you can enjoy with fresh cream to taste.
Freshly Baked on the Spot - Fluffy Strawberry Omelet
New additions include the "Strawberry Omelet", featuring fluffy pancakes baked on the spot, layered with smooth cream and fresh strawberries; the "Earl Grey Strawberry Pizza", topped with custard cream and sliced strawberries on dough infused with aromatic Earl Grey tea powder, baked swiftly in the 400°C pizza oven; and the "Strawberry Maritozzo", where fresh strawberries and moderately sweet cream in soft house-made bread create a perfect harmony.
Three-in-One Perfection! Fresh-Squeezed Strawberry Ice Cream Mont Blanc
The "Fresh-Squeezed Strawberry Ice Cream Mont Blanc" features special marron cream combining rich Japanese chestnut paste with strawberry paste, generously squeezed over milk gelato. This delicate, thread-like strawberry-flavored Mont Blanc squeezed fresh for each order offers a three-in-one taste experience of cold milk gelato, and sweet-tart strawberry sauce.
Additionally, look forward to the new "Strawberry and Pudding Mini Parfait", combining jiggly house-made pudding with fresh strawberries and milky soft-serve ice cream. Finished fresh upon each order, you can fully enjoy the live, freshly-made experience.
Pink Udon Too! Popular Mentaiko Cream Udon Makes an Appearance
The second phase features warm udon in mentaiko cream, which has received overwhelming support from women among noodle and pasta dishes. The "Mentaiko Cream Udon", perfected through repeated testing of soup consistency, flavor balance, and color by the chef, features a subtly pink creamy soup while retaining dashi umami, creating the perfect palate cleanser between sweets. Enjoy it with mentaiko and shiso leaf toppings.
