Colorful Cactus Blooms Fill the Greenhouses at Izu Shaboten Animal Park

At Izu Shaboten Animal Park, the "Shaboten Greenhouse" is currently bursting with beautiful cactus flowers. From spring through early summer, roughly 200 varieties and 3,000 plants bloom in succession across the facility.

The greenhouse is divided into five sections based on region and country. In the First Greenhouse, the "South America Hall," visitors can currently enjoy Notocactus scopa (Sekkow), Rebutia xanthocarpa (Kibana Hozan), and Rebutia minuscula (Hozan) in bloom.
