Climb Kyoto's Iconic Landmark on Foot!
JAF (Japan Automobile Federation) Kyoto Branch (Branch Manager: Masato Nakamura) and Keihan Hotels & Resorts Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto City; President: Yukio Yamada) will co-host the "Nidec Kyoto Tower Stair Climbing 2026 × JAF" event on January 25, 2026.
JAF branches nationwide work on regional revitalization and solving local challenges. As part of these efforts, JAF cooperates in hosting events that contribute to regional activation.
For this event, participants will enter the normally restricted interior of Nidec Kyoto Tower and climb 355 spiral stairs to reach the observation deck.
Those who complete the climb will receive an original "Nidec Kyoto Tower × JAF Collaborative Stair Climbing Certificate" featuring a special design, limited to the first 1,500 participants. Additionally, the JAF Welcome Corner will offer children's safety licenses, prize drawings, and a smartphone-based stamp rally where participants scan QR codes located in the tower's observation deck and within the building.
A tie-up event will also be held the night before, featuring special colored lighting on the tower.

Participation Requirements: Open to both JAF members and non-members; no advance registration required
Participation Fee: Observatory admission fee required to participate in the stair climbing event
