A German beer festival, "KAGAWA OKTOBER FEST 2026," will be held for the first time in Kagawa Prefecture. The 14-day event takes place from Friday, October 2 to Thursday, October 15, 2026, at the Seafront Promenade of Sunport Takamatsu in Takamatsu.
Held in early October, when the weather is well suited to spending time outdoors, the festival is set against the backdrop of the Seto Inland Sea at sunset, with beer and music as its main attractions. Beer from 10 brands, including official brewery beer imported directly from Germany, the home of beer, will be available for visitors to compare, alongside dishes made with ingredients from Kagawa Prefecture.
Stage events are held every day, and a number of special programs are also planned. On Saturday, October 3, air race world champion Yoshihide Muroya is scheduled to perform an acrobatic flight over Sunport Takamatsu's open sea and sky.

Light Display at the Main Arena
Every day from 7:00 PM, a "light display" takes place in the main arena. In a video presentation, characters of a sausage, a pretzel, and a beer join hands and dance, in celebration of the festival, adding to the festive mood as everyone at the venue raises a toast together.

Live Entertainment: 盆ジョヴィ and Bavaria Trio
DJ Celly & 鳳蝶美成 (盆ジョヴィ)
On October 11 (Sun) from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM, the festival will host a bon dance event that has spread through the hashtag #盆ジョヴィ on social media and has been drawing attention across Japan. DJ Celly and 鳳蝶美成 will bring the whole venue to life with "盆ジョヴィ."
