Kai Corporation, the global cutlery manufacturer headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, has teamed up with the characters of Sanrio Co., Ltd., who are popular across a wide range of generations, to create a lineup of eight baking items. Sales began in stages on Monday, October 26, 2026, at Kai Corporation's official online store as well as specialty stores, department stores, mass retailers, and other stores nationwide.
Note: Arrival dates may vary by store.
The new items are themed around popular Sanrio Characters, led by Pompompurin, which ranked No. 1 in the Sanrio Character Ranking for two years in a row and celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2026. Each of the eight items expresses the individual personality of its character.
Focusing on trends in homemade Valentine's Day treats such as "ease" and "cookies," the lineup is designed so that not only baking beginners but also families with small children can easily recreate the characters. The aim is to make cute sweets that people will want to share on social media.
Kai Corporation says it will continue to offer items that make cooking more enjoyable.

Price: ¥1,100
A chocolate kit for making heart-shaped chocolates decorated with Sanrio Characters' faces.

Because the chocolate can be made in the heart tray and given as-is, it also makes a good gift. The PET material is highly transparent, so it is easy to check whether the chocolate has been poured in properly, making it hard to get wrong even for beginners or when baking with children.

Pompompurin Jiggly Pudding Cup (ポムポムプリンのぷるぷるプリンカップ)
Price: ¥1,320
A silicone pudding cup for making jiggly Pompompurin puddings.
The ribs and flange on the outside let the cup stand on its own when pouring in the liquid. A lightly translucent yellow color makes it easy to see how much liquid has been poured. The cup can be used in a microwave, refrigerator, freezer, and oven, so it can also be used to make things other than pudding. A mini recipe book with four recipes is included.
Friend Hug Cookie Cutters – Hello Kitty / Cinnamoroll / Pompompurin (おともだちだっこクッキー型 ハローキティ／シナモロール／ポムポムプリン)
