Kawana Hotel Golf Course (川奈ホテルゴルフコース) in Ito, Shizuoka is transforming part of its world-class Fuji Course into a giant lawn park for one day this summer. The "Oyako de Shibafu Enjoy Day" (親子で芝生エンジョイday) event takes place on Friday, August 21, 2026, and admission is free. The event will be cancelled in case of rain.
The Fuji Course at Kawana Hotel Golf Course is recognized in the world's top 100 golf courses and has hosted numerous professional tournaments. Commanding panoramic views of Mt. Fuji and the Pacific Ocean, the course offers a setting unlike any ordinary park or pool. Kawana Hotel Golf Course has been hosting this community-oriented event since 2022, and 2026 marks the fifth edition.
What to Expect on the Day
The event offers a range of outdoor activities on the lush fairways of the Fuji Course. Children can run freely, play ball games, and join a tag game, while also getting a taste of golf through snag golf and putting experiences. Additional highlights include a course machinery display, a water gun battle, and a cart ride — a lineup designed for the entire family.
Smaller children are also well looked after, with play equipment including balls and lawn sleds provided on the day.

Schedule
- 2:30 PM: Check-in opens at the Kawana Hotel Golf Course Club House (last check-in: 3:30 PM)
- 2:30 PM onwards: Take the bus from in front of the Club House to the Fuji Course
- 3:00 PM: Event begins
- 5:30 PM: Event ends (buses back to the Club House run from 4:30 PM)

Notes
- Wear comfortable, easy-to-move-in clothing, as the course follows natural terrain.
- The event takes place in summer heat — bring adequate sun protection and drinks.
- Pets are not permitted.
- Long sessions of eating and drinking on leisure sheets should be avoided; please take all rubbish home.
- Prams and strollers cannot be used on the course.
