Kobe Suma Sea World (Suma-ku, Kobe, Hyogo Prefecture) is launching spring-limited menus across its on-site dining venues from Sunday, March 1, 2026.
Blue Ocean Orca Stadium
The only restaurant in western Japan where diners can watch orcas while eating, Blue Ocean Orca Stadium features a 21m-wide × 2.7m-high acrylic panel through which guests can see orcas up close while enjoying a locally sourced buffet. The spring lineup draws on seasonal ingredients from Hyogo Prefecture.

Spring menu highlights include:

Sawara with Saikyo miso butter sauce — Spring sawara (Spanish mackerel) grilled with a sauce combining butter and Saikyo white miso

Kobe pork with honey and nuts — Kobe pork with a sweet honey glaze and fragrant nut topping

Sea bream steamed with young wakame — Sea bream gently steamed together with young wakame seaweed

A food court on the 1st floor of the Dolphin Stadium, focusing on locally sourced ingredients from across Hyogo Prefecture — where the Sea of Japan to the north and the Seto Inland Sea to the south have fostered a rich and diverse food culture.

Port Diner Orca Stadium
A casual takeout counter on the 2nd floor of the Orca Stadium, themed after a port where ships rest during ocean voyages. Light snacks and drinks are available here, and the spring lineup adds new items alongside the popular orca-shaped steamed bun (shachi-man).


Azarashi-man — seal-shaped smooth red bean bun (¥850) — A cute seal-shaped steamed bun filled with koshi-an (smooth red bean paste)

Orca-shaped shaved ice with black sesame and brown sugar syrup (¥1,000) — Rich-flavored shaved ice arranged in the shape of an orca with black sesame and kuromitsu (brown sugar syrup), perfect to enjoy alongside the orca performance as the weather warms up

Kobe Suma Sea World is an "edutainment" aquarium that blends learning ("Education") and entertainment ("Entertainment"). It is home to western Japan's only orca performances, a buffet restaurant where guests can dine while watching orcas, and a world-first educational zone dedicated to the ecology of orcas — offering both adults and children the chance to learn and have fun at the same time.
